About Me
I could say my journey in photography began when I was about 11 years old. I would travel abroad to visit my relatives, and my mother would give me Kodak disposable cameras for my trip. Being only 11, I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, just pointing the small camera at something I liked, and clicking a button. Since then, I have learned a little more, or at least I hope I have, but have kept that childlike excitement about photography throughout the years. Photography is an immersive, and deeply sensuous experience which allows me to fully embrace the "Now" of life. When I pick up a camera it's like a form of meditation, where time doesn't exist, and all of my senses are fully engaged in the moment. The smell of a busy intersection, the sound of the leaves rustling through the trees, the taste of the fresh ocean air, and the feeling of the camera in my hand allows me to take in the environment, in search for a moment to capture. Photography has taught me many things, but most importantly to be patient, detailed, and accept failures as a part of the journey, for without failure, we can't grow. These lessons are very dear to me, and I use them not only in photography, but throughout my everyday life. That's enough about me for now, and I hope you enjoy the work, hopefully it can move you in some way!
